LAD MEETING: Democracy is Not a Spectator Sport, Part 2, Wednesday, March 6, 6:30pm, via zoom.
We’ll have FIVE CANDIDATES: Lesley Smith, currently CU Regent at large, and Edward (Max) Woodfin, who are both running for State House District 49, Judy Amabile, currently State House Rep for HD 49, and Jovita Schiffer, both running for State Senate District 18, and Jeff Martin, who is running for Boulder County Coroner.
LAD Board Member Stan Gelb, will introduce Jennifer Piper and Mike Merryman Lotze, from the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), who will present “The Pentagon: Your Tax Dollars at Waste!”.
Closing out our meeting, we’ll have our popular Caucus 101, an overview of another opportunity to show up for grassroots democracy, meet Democrats in your neighborhood, hear from candidates, and create a critical building block for 2024’s BLUE WAVE!
And as always, camaraderie, information, INSPIRATION, encouragement, and lots of ideas about what YOU CAN DO to protect and uphold our DEMOCRACY — it’ll be FUN, too!
