(7/9/21): Our “Threats to Democracy and How We Can Protect It” was very well received! We think it was a pretty important presentation too — we put the “rise of trump” in the context of history. This is why an honest accounting of our TOTAL history is so important: we learn what CAN happen again. Our democracy is constantly under assault, so we provided robust ACTION ITEMS: what we MUST urge the Executive Branch and our elected senators and congresspersons to DO, and ONGOING ACTIONS we ourselves can take to prevent this from ever happening again. We outlined how close we came to an autocracy under trump and, as we warned, the next autocrat is likely to be smarter than trump — so we must do all we can to safeguard democracy NOW!
That’s why we will be Continuing the Conversation, (we’ve created a widget, to your right, and still under construction) where you can read questions that came up during the production of our presentation, go over the resources we’ve listed, and send your comments, solutions, and additional questions to us at email@example.com
As always, all the meeting materials will be posted under the resources widget (under construction), to your left. We will be adding the script to the presentation, as well as video of the slides with our voiceovers, in the coming days, as well as updating the Continuing the Conversation widget as your comments come in.
THANKS FOR ALL THAT YOU DO!
