Thanks for attending our Holiday Potluck!

Our sincere thanks to the 70 people who attended our annual Holiday Potluck! For those of you that renewed or signed up for membership, we deeply appreciate your donations — it helps us do the work we do. We went over our accomplishments for 2019, our spending report, introduced our 2020 LAD Board, unveiled our newly revised Support Statements and had State Senator Mike Foote on hand to talk to us about the National Popular Vote Compact and why it is so important to vote yes next fall to keep it in place (you can find meeting materials when you click the “resources” widget to the left). Happy Holidays, and here’s to an exciting 2020, filled with hope and resilience!

LAD Holiday Potluck

THIS Saturday, December 7 • 11am–2pm • Front Range Community College • Community Room
(Please bring your own service and a dish [with serving utensil] to share, beverages provided.)

It’s been a challenging but gratifying year, so let’s CELEBRATE:please come to the LAD Holiday Potluck THIS Saturday, for great food, camaraderie, and good cheer for the season!

Our special guest this year is State Senator Mike Foote (SD17), who will be on hand to talk to us about the National Popular Vote Compact, which was passed in our legislature last year, but will be challenged on the ballot in 2020. We promise you’ll get great ballot talking points to assure that the NPV will remain in place!

Just a bit of business: we’ll present our updated support statements and we’ll be electing the 2020 LAD Board (most board members will be continuing their service). There will also be elected officials in attendance.

If you are a current member of LAD, we THANK YOU for your contribution in the past year! Many folks use the Holiday Potluck as an opportunity to renew or, if you like the work we are doing, to sign up for membership ($25/year per person, cash or check, thanks!).

PLEASE BRING A HOLIDAY CARD — to show support for immigrant children and families detained at, and to be delivered to Aurora’s Detention Center. State Rep. Singer will stop by our potluck to pick up your cards on his way to the Indivisible Colorado Environment / Casa De Paz card decorating event in Boulder. (Since it first opened its doors in 2012, Casa de Paz has hosted 2,037 immigrants from thirty countries and is the only organization in Colorado offering shelter to released immigrants and their families)…THANK YOU.

Please join us…and please, bring a friend! Saturday, December 7, 11am–2pm, Front Range Community College, 2121 Miller Drive, Classroom Building (east side of Miller Drive), Community Room. (go in door C4, go left, past the cafeteria, the Community Room is on the right across from the bathrooms.). We’re trying to make this as close to a zero waste event as possible: please bring your own service (plate, silverware) and a dish to share (with serving utensil). THANK YOU!

THANKS FOR ALL THAT YOU DO!
