LAD Meeting, Wednesday, March 6!

Thanks so much for the great turnout last week! (Materials for our March 2019 meeting will be posted under the Resources widget to your left.) Our next meeting is April 3!

Wednesday, March 6  6:30pm (meeting will start promptly at 6:45!)
Front Range Community College  Community Room

Transformative Colorado legislation concerning gun safety, environmental safety, “debrucing” TABOR, immigrant access to services, education about healthy relationships and consent, child tax credits, access to better healthcare and lower drug pricing, banning conversion therapy, rights of transgender persons and for our homeless — and more — is being sponsored, introduced and debated at our Capitol. This is a powerfully important session!

We are excited to have State Rep. Rochelle Galindo (newly elected for District 50 in Weld County), Lorena Fuentes Ibañez from Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition (CIRC, Northern Colorado), and LAD board member Susie Hidalgo-Fahring (St. Vrain Valley Education Association), to speak with us about lobbying the Governor to support Virginia’s Law* and advocating for other important legislative issues.

We’ll give you the latest legislative news from our Capitol — breaking by the hour — on what YOU can do to support important bills. But, they didn’t say it would be easy: we will get pushback from the gun lobby, conservatives and big industry…and that is why we fight!

Join us…and please, bring a friend! TONIGHT, Wednesday, March 6, 6:30pm, Front Range Community College, 2121 Miller Drive, Classroom Building (east side of Miller Drive), Community Room. (go in door C4, go left, past the cafeteria, Community Room is on the right across from the bathrooms.)

THANKS FOR ALL THAT YOU DO!
