A bit of activism: Kim Gibbs, from Citizens for Quiet Skies, will be on hand to discuss the Vance Brand Airport noise issue. Kim will provide facts and history, clear up misinformation — summarizing this important neighborhood issue from a few different angles — and answer whatever questions you might have.A bit of tracking: You’ve gotten our legislative bill updates, how about some tips on lobbying legislators? We’ll walk you through the easy bill tracking process using the LAD website, developed by our very own CLEAN (Citizen Lobbyist Early Action Network). We’ll have a quick review of the bills passed or killed so far, and Bob Norris will be on hand to share how a bill becomes a law.PLUS, TAMALES! (Come early): Red or Green Chili. $6 for a 6-pack.
