Vigil in Longmont for Climate Conference

What do you get if cross a snowman and a shark ?
Frost bite !

While this joke is terrible, Climate Change is worse.  With the melting of the
Polar Ice Caps, sharks and snowmen could be crossing paths more than we like!


Can’t make it to Copenhagen?  How about Longmont?

350.org is hosting a vigil in Longmont on 12/11/09.

What: Longmont Candlelight Vigil in support of strong action for global
survival at the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference.

When: Friday, December 11th, 5 – 6 PM, SW Corner of 6th and Main Street

Why: Longmont citizens concerned about the threat to civilization posed by
climate change will hold a candlelight vigil Friday night, December 11th.  The
vigil will be in support of strong action to control greenhouse gas emissions at
the UN’s Climate Change Conference occurring in Copenhagen, in order to ensure survival of civilizations around the world.  Longmont’s event is part of a worldwide network of similar vigils.  RSVP at www.350.org.  Please bring
candles.
