Public News and Information

Election Day: Tuesday, November 3

  • The 2009 Coordinated Election will be conducted by mail ballot.

  • There will be no polling places.

  • The Boulder County Clerk & Recorder’s Office will be open from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Election Day.

  • Check your voter information to ensure you are registered to vote and to verify your address information.

  • October 5: deadline to register to vote for the 2009 Coordinated Election.

Accessible Voting Information

Accessible voting will be available at the following offices:

  • October 12 – November 3: 1750 33rd Street, Boulder

  • October 28 – November 3: 529 Coffman Street, Longmont

Mail Ballot Information

  • October 13 – 16: ballots are mailed to eligible voters.

  • Ballots cannot be forwarded by mail.

Properly Marking Ballots

  • Voters should only use a blue or black ballpoint pen to mark their ballots.

  • Voters should not use pencil, marker, highlighter or crayon to mark their ballots.

  • Ballot box choices must be completely filled in.

  • Voters should not check, strike or dot ballot box choices.

Replacement Ballots

  • If you spoil, deface or lose your ballot, you may obtain a replacement ballot, not to exceed three ballots in all.

  • October 19 – November 3: replacement ballots will be available at the Boulder County Clerk & Recorder’s Boulder Office: 1750 33rd Street

  • October 28 – November 3: replacement ballots will be available at the Boulder County Clerk & Recorder’s  Longmont Office: 529 Coffman Street

  • Tuesday, October 27: the deadline to apply for a replacement ballot if it is to be mailed.

Returning Mail-in Ballots

  • Voted ballots must be received by the Boulder County Clerk & Recorder’s Office no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day to be counted.

  • Postmarks do not count as received.

  • If you choose to return your voted ballot by mail, you must affix adequate postage: $0.44

  • Ballots may also be delivered to one of the following designated drop-off locations during business hours:
