Next Monthly Meeting

Wednesday, June 1, 7-9 PM

Longmont Public Works Facility,

375 Airport Road, Longmont

The theme of the next June monthly meeting will be Education. Our guest speakers will be Jared Polis (State Board of Education), Sandi Searls (President, St. Vrain Valley School Board) , and Kathy Hall (Vice President, St. Vrain Valley School Board).

Please bring non perishable food items for the OUR Center. The meeting will start promptly at 7 pm.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

We have a booth at the Saturday May 21st Erie Town Fair. Volunteers are needed to serve two hour shifts.

Are you good with scrapbooks? We need someone to take on the job of keeping the Longmont Area Democrats’ Scrapbook up to date. Please notify Bev Springer if you wish to volunteer (303-774-1953 or springrb@comcast.net).

TWO TICKETS REMAIN…

…for the LAD fundraising play on Thursday, May 19. The play is “Just Old Friends” which is a musical cabaret. Contact Lee Springer at 303-774-1953 if you’re interested in nabbing these last two seats.

IT’S NOT TOO LATE…

…to submit recipes for the Longmont Area Democrats’ Cookbook. We have 15 recipes so far, but we’d really like to get some more. Please email your recipes to Wanda Sterner at wrshome@comcast.net .

Minutes of the May Monthly Meeting. This meeting was in our new location and over 50 people showed up in anticipation of a Town Hall meeting with State Senator Brandon Shaffer. Unfortunately, Republican delaying tactics prevented him from appearing. Read all about it.
