Tonight’s LAD Meeting…Wednesday, Aug. 5!

LADs next meeting will be a virtual picnic, featuring some “lighter fare”— good news, inspiration (from John Lewis), music (our band usually performs every summer), and easy action items as we acknowledge a difficult spring and summer, express gratitude for what is truly important — and gear up for one of the most important election seasons of our lifetime. (90 DAYS TO GO!)

Normally we would have our annual August picnic at the wonderful Ollin Farms. (We had a date reserved pre-Covid, but once cancelled, we decided to donate that money to Ollin Farms. To see their virtual farmstand go here.)

*Peace & Love Quarantini:

Passion fruit juice, mango juice and vodka — “eyeball” the mixture (according to the mixmaster Sonia, who hopefully will be joining us from Korea (!). THANKS, Sonia!

*Lemon Honey (Immune Booster) Quarantini:

3 oz Vodka (or gin), 2 oz Lemon juice, Honey Syrup (2 tbsp water and 2 tbsp honey, microwave and stir until you have a syrup), Optional Powdered Vitamin C (to rim the glass). All ingredients over ice in a martini shaker. Shake, pour, enjoy!

*No Place Like Home Quarantini:

Fill a shaker with ice. Pour 2 oz each of vodka and ginger beer, with 5 oz orange juice into the shaker and shake. Shake, pour, enjoy! (also could be served over ice)
