Due to Coronavirus protocol, our next LAD Meeting for April 1 will not be a public meeting. What hasn’t changed, is that we will be utilizing and preparing all of our available resources to give you a valuable presentation on the 2020 CENSUS. We’ll have an update on what you can do locally to keep democracy alive during a global pandemic. Though we are physically isolated from each other, we need to do all we can to remain engaged in the political process. As we’ve seen in the performance of our present administration during this crisis, it becomes all the more necessary to ensure the health and safety of our democracy moving forward. We believe Governor Polis is showing true leadership and Colorado is fortunate to have a mail in ballot system. That’s why you’ll need to know what candidates will be on your ballot, and we’ll talk about what bills were in process at the time our state legislators were understandably adjourned and rightfully went home to shelter in place.
Our state legislators have also been extremely helpful and active in providing valuable coronavirus resources to help us through this crisis as it unfolds, highlighting the network of county and state agencies on the frontlines of this fight. We’ll have a list at the ready to share with all of you.
