No Rest in Our Fight!
If the latest State of the Union is any indication, our work continues. As expected, our majority in the US House, and our full majority in Colorado’s state legislature and state offices are bringing forth amazing progressive change…It’s also eliciting orchestrated and powerful pushback from republicans.
We cannot rest.
You were instrumental in electing Colorado Democrats to our legislature and state offices last fall. At the next LAD meeting, we’ll talk about what you can specifically DO to support Colorado progressive measures in the National Popular Vote, gun safety, reproductive rights, banning conversion therapy and more. And NOW we can make real progress in renewables and Climate Change.
When Colorado republicans had the majority, they tried to destroy the Colorado Energy Office and almost succeeded…it’s a new day: We’ll have environmental advocate RJ Harrington speak about a recent presentation at our Capitol and what it means for our legislative activism (not simply complaining!) moving forward.
Join us…and please, bring a friend! WEDNESDAY, February 13, 6:30pm, Front Range Community College, 2121 Miller Drive, Classroom Building (east side of Miller Drive), Community Room. (go in door C4, go left, past the cafeteria, Community Room is on the right across from the bathrooms.)
