CARPOOLING: At this stage, if you are thinking of driving yourself from Longmont consider meeting at a central area (the parking lot of Panera’s?) to pick up additional passengers. (You’ll need to coordinate contact info, time to leave and other details yourself) If you are riding in a carpool, please offer to pay for gas and parking, or coordinate where to park. And if anyone has a space in their carpool, please let us know. Parking near Civic Center info here.
Another option is to drive to the Westminster Light Rail Station (35 min. from Longmont), park at the park n ride (71st Ave and Hooker St.) and take a B Line light rail to Union Station. The first bus leaving Longmont on Saturdays is at 10:05 — the march in Denver is from 9am to 3pm. So if you are okay with joining the march in progress, taking a bus from Longmont is an option. RTD BUS SCHEDULES for SATURDAYS from (Southbound) and to (Northbound) Longmont here.
TIPS —
Exchange Information: If you are traveling with others that you’ve only first met, exchange cell numbers so you can contact each other. There is no telling just how crowded and chaotic the march will be.
Eat a good breakfast before you leave, BRING SIGNS, Water, snack bars.
