LOCAL ISSUES: Economy, Education and Transportation
Economy: Longmont’s economy will get a major boost with the upcoming development of Twin Peaks Mall. Mayor Dennis Coombs will be on hand to discuss what’s in store (pardon the pun!).
Education: Debbie Lammers from the St. Vrain Valley School District (SVVSD) School Board, Marta Moreno from El Comite, and Kat Bennet, an ESL teacher with the SVVSD, will discuss hot issues concerning public education and adult ed in our area, and will tell us ways the community can be involved.
Transportation: We are so happy to have Longmont’s own Judy Lubow representing as the newest member of RTD’s Board of Directors. Judy has been hard at work getting us back on track and will discuss exciting new developments for FasTracks, the Bus Rapid Transit construction between Denver and Boulder, and the North Metro Line which runs parallel to I-25…
