I LAD Picnic
Who: Join the likes of Senate President Brandon Shaffer, HD 11 Candidate Deb Gardner, HD 12 Candidate Jake Williams, and a special guest from the Romanoff Campaign (confirmed as of 7/29/10). The Bennet Campaign, Markey Campaign, Matt Jones for HD 12, and the County Surveyor Candidates have all been invited and are expected to be present or provide surrogates. UPDATE – House Majority Leader Paul Weissman and HD 12 Candidate Matt Jones, and CD4 CU Regent Candidate Robert Bishop, and Alan Greenberg for County Surveyor have confirmed as well.
When: Wednesday, August 4th 6pm-9pm
What: It is the annual LAD Potluck Picnic. Enjoy the company of your neighbors and Democratic Candidates. Bring a dish to share. Let’s make this ZERO WASTE by bringing your place setting.
Why: Have you made up your mind on your MAIL IN BALLOT? I won’t until the picnic. Come watch me fill out my ballot (no peaking) and bring yours too. Don’t forget to get them in by 8/10/10.
Please remember, LAD can only continue to bring great Candidates and Educational Events if our members fund us. If you have not paid your $20.00 annual due, please consider bringing it to the picnic. Since we can’t always meet at Bob’s house, we have pay for our meeting spaces. No one will ever be turned away due to financial need. However, you will be turned away for making bad jokes (that’s my job).

Please see reminders and invitations below to participate with the Party in this year’s Boulder County Fair activities. We need your enthusiasm and support to help our candidates win during the 2010 election season.
*** Boulder County Fair Parade, Saturday, July 31st! ***
“Join the parade” with most of our candidates or their representatives this coming Saturday, 7/31! We’re encouraging everyone to come, wear their Dem or candidate shirts, hats, and buttons, wave signs, make noise, and have fun! Lots of spectators and energy from the candidates make this a great opportunity to show off our commitment for an easy 1.3 miles of walking, biking, skating, or dancing through downtown Longmont.
We will meet between 9:00 and 9:15am at Bross St and 8th Ave, near the NW corner of Roosevelt Park. Our parade line number is 59. A landmark for our meet-up location is a church on the corner, across from the park. There is no need to RSVP– just come! Do bring hats, drinking water, and sunscreen if needed, and plan to have a great time!
*** Booth Staffing at the Boulder County Fair, Tuesday, August 3rd – Saturday, August 7th ***
Sign up for a shift at our booth at the Boulder County Fair. Shifts begin at 2p, 4p, and 6p, every day of the Fair (Tuesday – Saturday, August 3 – 7). Two-hour shifts are available– please consider taking more than one!
We will give out bumper stickers & yard signs, provide information on voter registration, the election calendar, and upcoming events, and hand out candidate literature. This is another great opportunity to interact with the public on behalf of Democrats. The fair runs from 10am to 10pm, so volunteers will have plenty of time to visit the Fair before or after their booth times.
